Rovers are ‘assessing one or two knocks’ before Tony Mowbray finalises the team for the visit of Hull City.
A bruising encounter with Luton Town on Saturday saw Rovers drop points after conceding a 98th minute equaliser.
They were without eight senior players for that game but will welcome back Hayden Carter after he served a one-match suspension.
Leeds United loanee Ian Poveda didn’t train with the group on Monday as had been hoped, having sustained a minor hamstring strain in training, and won’t feature against the Tigers, but could make the weekend trip to Barnsley.
New signing Reda Khadra was an unused substitute against Luton at the weekend, and Mowbray is excited by the 20-year-old Brighton loanee who is building up his fitness in training.
“He was on the bench on Saturday and will be on the bench again,” Mowbray said of Khadra.
“He needs to build up his aerobic capacity, if he hadn’t had a little knock before he came to us and missed a few weeks, he would be ready.
“It’s quite excitement watching him in training, he gave Ryan (Nyambe) a hard time in training once or twice which is very hard to do.
“We’re hoping he can come in and make a big impact. Wide players can be absolutely electric, but can be anonymous at times, so let’s see. He’s only a young player and I don’t want to put too much emphasis on him but let’s hope he can do well for this team when he gets his opportunity.”
