Jack Vale has signed for National League side Halifax Town on loan.

Vale, who hit a hat-trick for Wales Under-21s in their win in Bulgaria on Tuesday night, has joined the Shaymen on loan until January.

The 20-year-old netted in the Premier League 2 opener with Everton but will now get his chance in senior football after securing his latest loan switch.

It is a third loan move of Vale’s career, a spell with Barrow in 2020 cut short because of coronavirus while his January switch to Rochdale didn’t work out as planned, the Welshman managing just three substitute appearances for the League One side.

Vale, who made his senior debut for Rovers in the penultimate game of the 2020/21 season, will now get the opportunity to test himself in men’s football with this latest move and will be in contention to make his Halifax debut when they host Southend United on Saturday.

Manager Pete Wild said: “We are delighted to welcome Jack to our group.

"Jack is a player I have been following for some time and I am very thankful to Blackburn for trusting us with one of their young players."

He is the second Rovers youngster to be loaned to Halifax after goalkeeper Aidan Dowling who joined last month.
