STANLEY have signed West Brom youngster Jovan Malcolm on a season-long loan.

The 18-year-old striker – who has progressed through the youth ranks at the Hawthorns - scored seven goals in 15 appearances for the Baggies’ Under-18s side last term before being promoted to the Under-23s.

Malcolm becomes Stanley’s fifth loan signing of the summer after Joel Mumbongo, James Trafford, Sam Sherring and Yeboah Amankwah.

The Reds could do further business on deadline day and will be hoping to hold onto striker Colby Bishop amid interest from Peterborough.

On a busy day, John Coleman’s side also host Barrow in their opening Papa John’s Trophy game tonight.
