Rovers have passed the 3,000 mark for season ticket sales as the club prepares to welcome back supporters for the first time since February 2020.

The club announced this week that home and away fans would be permitted to attend the friendly with Leeds United on Wednesday, July 28.

That will be the first time fans have been allowed inside the ground since the 2-2 draw with Swansea City on February 2020, with Leeds given an initial allocation of 4,500 for the game.

Season tickets have been on sale for a month and in that time there have been over 3,000 sales. In the 2019/20 season, sales were in the region of 8,500.

The uniform pricing structure across the Riverside stand, Blackburn End lower tier and the Jack Walker Stand lower tier, introduced last season, was kept in place, with adult season tickets priced at £399.

The Jack Walker Upper wings will be £459, with seats in the centre of the Jack Walker Upper available for £499 while there will be a premium package on offer for £599.

Senior tickets start from £269, 18-23 from £179, 17 and under from £90 while Under-12s are £60 in all areas of the ground.

There were 2,500 season tickets sold in 2020/21, and those supporters were given a £169 pro-rata discount applied to any purchases for next season, given all 23 home matches were played behind closed doors.

The cheapest adult matchday ticket next season will be £25 for a Category B game, £32 for Category A and £36 for Category A+.

Prices for the Leeds United friendly are £15 for adults, £10 for concessions and £5 for juniors.

Meanwhile, the club have moved to clarify that supporters attending next week’s friendly won’t need proof of a negative coronavirus test, nor will they need to have received both doses of the coronavirus vaccine.

Testing prior to attending Ewood Park is encouraged and advised for the safety and peace of mind of supporters within the stadium, but isn’t mandatory.
