The start of Championship season is just three weeks away and Rovers are yet to make a signing, and have only just filled the head of recruitment position vacated by Stuart Harvey.

We asked our fans’ jury how concerned they were by the lack of activity at Ewood Park.

I'm not surprised as activity seems quite inhibited across all the leagues. Allied to this is the horrendous debt the club has incurred and one wonders if it will all end in tears.

I would have thought that by now we would have secured some exciting loan signings but perhaps we are not currently an attractive proposition given our financial limitations.

Pleased that Harry Pickering is now with the club and expect him to add value to the squad as will Harry Chapman if he recognises and fulfils his considerable potential.

The departures of Holtby, Downing and Evans gives food for thought and leaves the midfield looking like the cupboard is rather bare, so perhaps we had better get to the foodbank for some handouts?

The Armstrong saga continues with his value having been seriously eroded last season as Rovers desperately put him in the shop window whilst pretending they hadn't.

All in all we will just have to hope that youth springs eternal and we unearth some gems equal to the challenge.

Despite our inactivity, I'm not overly concerned. Unlike previous seasons, we aren't coming into this with any expectations and I believe this will serve us well.

I believe this year is the year for the young, emerging players to truly establish themselves such as John Buckley, Dan Butterworth, Scott Wharton, Jack Vale, Jacob Davenport and Harry Chapman. Because of loans, injuries or more experienced options, they have been held back previously but I'm excited to see their friendship blossom in the team and the energy and risk that they'll bring to how we play.

As we have a young squad, the more established players, although still young, such as Sam Gallagher, Joe Rothwell, Ben Brereton and Lewis Travis and co must step up and I believe the youthful exuberance around them will ensure that they do.

Add to that the youngest and probably hungriest players such as Dan Pike and Luke Brennan knocking on the door then we have options, albeit inexperienced.

Without pressure and with the fresh, unknown mentality that these youth players will bring will catch a few teams by surprise this season. I'm (probably wrongly) hopeful.

I am extremely concerned as we released a good number of players last season and a lot were vastly experienced and we have replaced them with nobody.

I get it that a few of the Academy lads will be making the step up to the first team squad but there is no substitute for experience.

Chances are in the last week before the season starts we will add to our squad but the new players will need time to adapt to the club, other players etc.

I know the embargo was to blame but we've clear for a good few days now with nothing at all happening or even in the pipeline waiting to happen.
