Rovers' outgoing loanees thanked the club and supporters after their time at Ewood Park came to an end.

Barry Douglas, Harvey Elliott and Tom Trybull saw their season-long stays end after the final game of the season, while Taylor Harwood-Bellis and Jarrad Branthwaite’s time is officially over after signing in January.

Elliott featured in every match after joining from Liverpool, signing off with his seventh goal of a productive spell in the final day win over Birmingham City.

He wrote on social media: To cap off a wonderful season! Thanks to everyone @rovers for making me feel so welcome and showing enormous amounts of love ❤️ I can’t thank everyone enough 🙌🏻 looking forward to coming home 🔴 YNWA

Lancashire Telegraph:

Taylor Harwood-Bellis is the only one of the loanees to start the last three matches, and departs for Manchester City after 19 appearances in Rovers colours.

He said: Great way to end the season with a 5-2 win! Just want to thank everyone at @rovers for my experience this season, couldn’t have wished for a better set of lads and staff to have shared my time with💙 also really gutted I couldn’t have experienced playing in front of you fans at Ewood Park but your support from home was not forgotten🙌🏽💙

Lancashire Telegraph:

Douglas was the first of the loanees to sign on deadline day in October, the left back playing 31 times after arriving from Leeds United.

He wrote: Another season completed ✅ thoroughly enjoyed my time at @rovers lots of highs and lows but a memorable experience none the less with a great bunch of lads, good luck to everyone associated with the club and all the best for the future 🌹

Lancashire Telegraph:

Jarrad Branthwaite and Tom Trybull didn’t feature in the closing weeks of the season, the Everton loanee having undergone surgery on an ankle ligament injury, while the Norwich City man has been struggling with a back issue for much of 2021.

“It’s been a pleasure, good luck 💙🤝 @Rovers,” wrote Branthwaite.
