Bradley Dack has vowed to come back stronger once again as he prepares to undergo surgery on his anterior cruciate knee ligament for a second time.

Dack sustained a second serious knee injury in 15 months against Brentford earlier this month and faces another extended spell on the sidelines.

He has met with a surgeon and will now undergo surgery later this week before beginning his rehabilitation for a second time.

It is the other knee to the one that kept Dack out between December 2019 and the following year, with Tony Mowbray confirming the injury news after the 27-year-old underwent a scan.

“I just wanted to thank everyone for the message of support, honestly it has helped me massively,” Dack wrote on social media.

“Football can be a cruel game but it’s just one of those things.

“I have no doubt I will come back from this bigger and better yet again.

“Time to get to work.”
