ACCRINGTON Stanley captain Seamus Conneely has had his red card against Ipswich Town overturned, meaning he will be available for Saturday's home game with Swindon Town.

The Reds skipper was facing suspension after being sent off in the 16th minute for bringing down Troy Parrott in the box.

But, while Stanley went on to lose the game 2-1 with 10 men, manager John Coleman felt there was a case for Conneely and the club today lodged an appeal against the decision.

And that claim of wrongful dismissal has been successful, meaning Conneely avoids a ban.
