A tribunal today will determine the fee that Fulham are due from Liverpool for Harvey Elliott.

Elliott was signed by the Premier League champions from Fulham in 2019, thought the Cottagers are yet to receive any fee for the now 17-year-old.

Fulham are seeking around £8m for Elliott who became the youngest ever Premier League player when making his debut for the club in 2019 aged just 16 years and 30 days old.

Elliott has since gone on to make nine first-team appearances for Liverpool, who have tied him down to a long-term contract, such is their admiration for the talented teenager.

Liverpool are said to have offered around £750,000 for the deal which took Elliott to Anfield in 2019, and with the two clubs way apart in their valuations, a tribunal will decide the required fee.

Rovers were involved in something similar with Connor Mahoney and Bournemouth following his decision to leave the club after relegation from League One, albeit then an established first-team player.

That required an initial £425,000 payment for the Cherries with subsequent additional payments based upon appearances, and a sell-on, of Rovers did make some money on when he moved to Millwall in 2019.

Fulham are looking for a record fee set by a tribunal, which should be made public later this month.

Elliott signed for Rovers on deadline day in October and hasn’t missed a game since, playing 22 times in the Championship and scoring four times.

He will spend the remainder of the season at Ewood Park before returning to his parent club in the summer when looking to cement his place in the senior squad.
