Stoke City have made two new signings ahead of this weekend’s visit to Rovers – taking their number of January additions to three.

Tottenham Hotspur winger Jack Clarke has followed Rhys Norrington-Davies in signing for the Potters on loan until the end of the season.

Clarke, who spent the first half of last season at QPR, came off the bench for Spurs in their FA Cup win at Marine at the weekend, his third appearance of the season after two in the Europa League.

However, the 20-year-old is still waiting for his first Premier League appearance for the club since an £8.5m move from Leeds United in January 2019.

He played against Rovers Under-23s in their meeting at Leyland last month and will go into the squad to face Rovers at Ewood Park this weekend.

So too will full back Norrington-Davies who has arrived on a similar deal from Sheffield United.

The Wales international was recalled from his spell at Luton Town, where he had played 22 times, before being loaned to the bet365 Stadium.

The 21-year-old will provide an option on the left side of the defence following the injury to Morgan Fox.

Stoke, beaten 4-0 by Leicester City in the FA Cup last weekend, are without a win since their victory over Rovers on December 19.

Since then, they have also added another Wales international, winger Rabbi Matondo, as Michael O’Neill adds more firepower to his ranks.

The 20-year-old has signed on loan from Schalke, where he has 30 Bundesliga appearances to his name, having been with Manchester City prior to his switch to Germany in January 2019.

He joins the growing list of Wales internationals at the club.
