CHELSEA'S forgotten man Lucas Piazon has been linked with a move to Norwich City.

The 26-year-old Brazilian joined the Blues from Sao Paulo back in 2012 but has hardly featured for the Stamford Bridge club and instead has been sent out on loan - including a spell at Fulham who he helped win promotion to the Premier League.

Championship rivals Stoke City and French outfit Bordeaux are also monitoring the winger who is currently on loan at Rio Ave in the Portuguese top-flight but Chelsea are planning to recall him this month. That could open the door for Norwich to snap him up before the deadline.

Since arriving in West London, Piazon has spent time on loan at seven different clubs including Malaga, Eintracht Frankfurt, Vitesse Arnhem, Chievo Verona and Reading.

ARSENAL have decided not to pursue Emi Buendia after Norwich City quoted them a £40million fee for the playmaker.

The Gunners are hunting a replacement for Mesut Ozil, who is poised to join Fenerbahce. But moves for Buendia, Christian Eriksen, Julian Brandt, Isco and Houssem Aouar seem unlikely at the current time of writing.

The Argentine has found the net seven times from 19 appearances but, despite his fine form, Arsenal have now shelved interest.

BOURNEMOUTH, QPR and Stoke City have all had bids accepted for Charlton Athletic midfielder Alfie Doughty.

The Championship trio had bids of £650,000 accepted and were given permission to talk to the talented 21-year-old who is out of contract in the summer and had Rangers and Celtic keen to take him on a free at the end of the season.

However, Doughty is now understood to have chosen Stoke ahead of their rivals but, as part of the agreement, he will stay at Charlton on loan until the end of the season.
