WEST Ham's hopes of signing Josh King from Bournemouth look to have suffered a setback with Newcastle United and West Bromwich Albion both prepared to pay £15 million for the forward - a figure the Hammers aren't willing to meet.

King, along with Cherries teammate David Brooks, is one of the hottest properties in the Championship, is out of contract at the end of the season.

Bournemouth will be keen to hang on to King, who has scored 48 Premier League goals during his career, as they plot an immediate return to the top flight.

WEST Brom have failed in their pursuit of Middlesbrough winger Duncan Watmore, according to Sky Sports.

Boro have confirmed the 26-year-old has agreed to sign a new two-and-a-half-year contract at The Riverside after initially joining the Championship club on a short-term deal in November.
