Barry Douglas has become the third Rovers player to be forced to self-isolate as he missed the game at Swansea City.
The full back made two starts for the club, following his deadline day switch from Leeds United, but is now set to be ruled out of their next three matches after being forced to self-isolate.
He is the fifth Rovers player this season to do so, and third currently, with Bradley Johnson and Amari’i Bell having missed the midweek defeat to Reading.
Joe Rothwell completed his self-isolation period this week, and was due to start against Reading, only to be withdrawn from the squad with a back problem which sees him miss the Swansea game.
Rovers are again without goalkeeper Thomas Kaminski and central defender Daniel Ayala because of groin problems, while Elliott Bennett, Lewis Travis and Bradley Dack are longer-term concerns.
Douglas’ absence means Joe Rankin-Costello switches to left back, with Ryan Nyambe returning at right back in the one Rovers change.
Harry Chapman comes into the squad, with Tyler Magloire and Joe Grayson having both travelled with the squad, but missed out on the squad.
