BURNLEY’S Dwight McNeil has been recalled to the England Under 21s fold.

The 20-year-old winger was surprisingly overlooked for last month’s games against Kosovo and Austria, which Aidy Boothroyd’s side won.

But McNeil, who played every minute for the Clarets in the Premier League last season, and has started this season strongly, has the chance to add to his three U21s caps having been called up for this month’s UEFA U21 Euro qualifiers with Andorra on Wednesday and Turkey next Tuesday.

There are two new faces in the 23-man squad, with Boothroyd calling up Spurs defender Japhet Tanganga and Liverpool midfielder Curtis Jones for the first time.

England need four points to secure qualification in top spot for next year’s U21 Euro Finals in Hungary.

Fans can watch the game in Andorra live on the official England YouTube channel, while the Turkey game will be screened live on BT Sport in the UK.
