BURNLEY will kick off their season on a Thursday night.
With their opening Premier League clash with Manchester United postponed due to the Red Devils’ involvement in the Europa League, Sean Dyche’s side begin the 2020/21 campaign with their Carabao Cup second round tie at home to Sheffield United.
The game on September 17 will be a 5.30pm kick-off with broadcast details to be confirmed.
A Clarets statement said: “Both clubs are currently in discussion with the EFL regarding streaming the game live to supporters.”
Burnley’s first league game comes on Sunday, September 20 when they travel to Leicester for a 7pm kick-off, that game live on the BBC.
