BLACKBURN Rovers' scheduled pre-season with friendly with Everton has been called off.
The game was due to be played at Ewood Park on Tuesday night but will now not go ahead.
A statement on the club's website read: "Following discussions between the two clubs, it has been mutually agreed that the game, which was due to take place at Ewood Park on Tuesday September 1st, has now been called off."
In line with Covid-19 restrictions the game would have been played behind closed doors.
Tony Mowbray's side will now conclude their pre-season programme away to Leicester City on Saturday, September 5, with a 1pm kick-off at the King Power Stadium.
Rovers have already got the new 2020/21 season under way with a 3-2 win over Doncaster Rovers in yesterday's Carabao Cup first round tie.
