Jeff Hendrick will leave Burnley at the end of his contract but Phil Bardsley has signed a fresh one-year deal.

Hendrick’s departure at the end of the month brings to an end his four years at the club with the club unable to agree terms on a new deal.

The midfielder has been linked with Italian sides AC Milan and Roma.

Aaron Lennon, Joe Hart and Adam Legzdins are also leaving the club.

Bardsley, who turns 35 in four days’ time, joined the Clarets from Stoke City in July, 2017 and has since made 53 appearances for the club.

The right-back has started 14 Premier League games so far this season and was in the Burnley side before the enforced break due to Covid-19.
