Rovers will face Burnley in the Premier League Cup on Tuesday afternoon after their group game was rescheduled.
The sides were meant to meet at Morecambe's Globe Arena on Thursday, but the game was postponed because of a waterlogged pitch.
The fixture will now take place at Oldham Athletic's Boundary Park (2pm) with Rovers already assured of top spot in Group G, while Burnley can't qualify.
Middlesbrough are the other team to have qualified for the last 16, with Rovers booking their place in the knockout stages for the fourth successive year where they will face Wolves or Derby at home.
Rovers beat Burnley 2-1 in the November meeting at Ewood Park courtesy of goals from Dominic Samuel and Jacob Davenport and won their first four group games, before suffering defeat to Middlesbrough last time out.
The two sides are also on course to meet in the Lancashire Senior Cup final for a second successive year.
