Rovers defender Tyler Magloire has returned from his loan spell at League One side Rochdale.

Magloire played just five times for Dale in what has been an injury-hit season for the 21-year-old.

It remains to be seen whether Magloire, who played twice for the Rovers first-team last season, will remain at Ewood Park and feature for the Under-23s in the second half of the season, or be loaned out again before Friday’s 11pm deadline.

Having not played for Rovers this season that option is available for Magloire who missed three months of action through injury.

He returned to Rochdale in late December, having undergone treatment at Rovers, and made three consecutive appearances, all in an unfamiliar right back role.

However, after being substituted early in the first half of the FA Cup third round tie against Newcastle at the start of this month, he hasn’t featured since.

Magloire played once for Rovers Under-23s in December, the win over Leicester City at Ewood Park, as part of his rehabilitation, but has now seen his loan cut short.

He played twice for Rovers in March, making his debut in the 2-0 win over Wigan Athletic and then also starting the defeat at Sheffield Wednesday four days later.
