ACCRINGTON Stanley are just one win away from a trip to Wembley according to manager John Coleman.

The Reds boss is adamant that whoever wins tonight’s last 16 Leasing.com Trophy tie at Fleetwood will reach the final - despite have to negotiate two more rounds should they come away from Highbury with a victory.

“I think the team that wins will go to Wembley and I stand by that,” said Coleman. “I think it is a big, big game for us and it is a big game for Fleetwood as well.

“It is a big opportunity, we are one of only two teams that have not gone to Wembley in the Football League so it would be a great feather in our cap if we could do it.”

Coleman said he has no worries about speaking so openly about getting to Wembley - and has no concerns with the extra pressure that comes with it.

“I don’t understand these teams going for promotion who say don’t say the ‘P’ word that is a load of nonsense in my eyes," he said.

“Keep your eye on the prize.”

It will be third meeting between the sides this season, the Cod Army winning 2-0 in the league back in August - a game where Sean McConville was sent off - while Stanley won 2-1 in the Leasing.com Trophy group match the following month.

“They are a very good side and play a type of football that is quite easy on the eye so it should be a good game,” said Coleman. “I think we play good football as well. We felt a little bit hard done by at there place last time, Sean McConville getting sent off and a very, very dubious penalty.

“So we think we can acquit ourselves better and hopefully we will.”

Stanley will be without Colby Bishop but Coleman is hopeful he will be back for the trip to Ipswich on Saturday.
