TWO more of Burnley’s Under-23s are heading out on loan.
Full back Ryan Cooney and midfielder Adam Phillips have joined Morecambe following Christian N’Guessan who also moved to League Two with Oldham earlier in the day.
Cooney, 20, made 21 Football League appearances for Bury before sealing his Clarets switch last summer.
Former Liverpool and Norwich youngster Phillips also arrived at Turf Moor before the start of the current campaign and has senior experience from loan spells with Cambridge and Hamilton Academicals.
Both have been key figures as the Clarets’ development squad have moved to top in the Professional Development League’s Northern Section.
Morecambe are currently one place and one point above the only relegation place out of the Football League.
“I’ve watched both players in games recently and been impressed with them,” said Shrimps boss Derek Adams, who had a brief loan spell as a player with the Clarets in the mid-1990s
“Adam is a midfielder who was a youngster with Liverpool and Norwich and has a good pedigree.
“Ryan made his debut as a teenager at Bury and will add competition for places in the full back areas.
“We are looking forward to working with both players.”
