NICK Pope sees Manchester United's visit to Turf Moor as the perfect chance for Burnley to bounce back.

The Clarets saw a two-game winning run end with a frustrating 1-0 reverse at Everton on Boxing Day.

A game low on quality and clear-cut chances was settled by Dominic Calvert-Lewin's header 10 minutes from time as Carlo Ancelotti marked his first game in charge of the Toffees with a win.

Given the hectic Christmas and New Year schedule in the Premier League the Clarets have less than 48 hours between games with United heading to East Lancashire on the back of their come-from-behind 4-1 win against Newcastle at Old Trafford.

Pope believes the game and the quick turnaround is something that all involved at Turf Moor should be really relishing.

“It’s something you have to do in the Premier League. You can’t win every week,” the England international keeper told the club website after the defeat at Goodison Park.

“That’s the nature of the beast.

"We’ve got to go again and take that challenge on.

“Big games are what you want and it’s a big game for us and we will go and take it on.

“Turf Moor under the lights is always a great occasion and we want to get back on track.”
