Rovers boss Tony Mowbray has been nominated for the Championship’s November manager of the month award.

Twelve points from a possible 15 has seen Mowbray one of four manager’s shortlisted for the prize, with the winner announced tomorrow morning.

Rovers started last month with a last-gasp victory over Sheffield Wednesday at Ewood Park, before further home wins against Barnsley and Brentford.

They ended a two-month wait for an away win to end November in winning fashion, taking all three points at Stoke City.

The one blot came before the international break, beaten 2-1 at Leeds United, whose boss Marcelo Bielsa is also in the mix for the award with five wins out of five.

West Brom boss Slaven Bilic is also shortlisted, after his side won four from four, while Scott Parker completes the list as Fulham matched Rovers’ tally of 12 points from a possible 15.

Of Mowbray, the panel said: “The consistency of Mowbray’s message to his players helped them dismiss a difficult October and gain 12 points out of a possible 15, scoring nine goals in the process and moving Rovers back into the promotion picture.”

Mowbray has won 10 manager of the month prizes in his career, the last of which came in January where Rovers enjoyed a 100 per cent record in January, claiming four wins from four matches.

Despite four goals in November, Bradley Dack has missed out on a nomination for the player award.

Those up for the award are Jarrod Bowen (Hull City), Josh Dasilva (Brentford), Jack Harrison (Leeds United) and Brice Samba (Nottingham Forest).
