SEAN McConville is in line to make his 300th appearance in an Accrington Stanley shirt.
The midfielder has currently featured 299 times for the Reds and he is looking to make that 300 this weekend in the FA Cup against Crewe Alexandra.
McConville spoke of his pride towards approaching this milestone in his career.
"It’s something that I’m proud of, making 300 appearances for a club I love.
"It’s a good achievement and I won’t be stopping there. I’ll be trying to make as many as possible, but each milestone is good for yourself, your teammates and your family.
"The overall achievement for myself will mean nothing at 5pm on Saturday, all that matters is if we’re still in the draw for the FA Cup or not."
McConville remembers the first time he made an appearance for Stanley - it came down on the south coast against Bournemouth.
"It was coming on as a substitute away at Bournemouth.
"I think it was in the 72nd minute, I think we lost the game 1-0 and Brett Pitman scored the goal.
"I had the baggiest yellow kit on ever, it was the really old away kit.
"I remember just toddling on and being a bit star struck by the Football League and the way it was.
"You always remember your Football League debut and even though we lost, it was a good experience.
"Look at where Bournemouth are now, they’re a Premier League club."
