Nick Pope has been named in the England squad for the Euro 2020 qualifiers against the Czech Republic and Bulgaria.

The Burnley keeper is part of the 25-strong group for the games in Prague on Friday, October 11, and in Sofia three days later.

He is the only Clarets representative however with James Tarkowski missing out.

Pope joins Jordan Pickford and former Burnley skipper Tom Heaton in Gareth Southgate’s latest squad.

"It's a massive honour, though it's still early for me. This is my fourth one I think, including the World Cup,” Pope said.

"I don't see it as a given, it's still a massive honour and a great moment for myself and my family and friends. I get to share the news of getting called up with them.

"It would be nice to get more caps, it's great to be part of the squad. The togetherness at the World Cup was a massive part of how far we went."
