Rovers handed a debut to Tosin Adarabioyo for the Championship clash at Fulham.
The Manchester City loanee was brought in to the heart of the Rovers defence, alongside Derrick Williams who was back fit after a calf problem.
They replaced Darragh Lenihan who didn’t travel because of a knee problem and Charlie Mulgrew who made a deadline day switch to Wigan.
Ryan Nyambe was also not part of the matchday squad after suffering with concussion sustained in a game at Manchester United last weekend.
The other change saw Joe Rothwell replace Stewart Downing out wide.
Matty Platt was brought in as defensive cover on the bench, where, despite travelling, new signing Greg Cunningham wasn’t involved.
Former Rover Tom Cairney captains the hosts, while deadline day signing Harrison Reed was included on the bench.
