ACCRINGTON Stanley climbed to eighth in League Two after tonight overcoming a fight-back from Macclesfield at the Fraser Eagle Stadium.

An entertaining clash saw five goals in the second-half, with Stanley racing into a two-goal lead through Roscoe Dsane and Paul Mullin in the space of three minutes, before the Silkmen pulled the game level with two quick-style strikes of their own.

But Dsane was the hero of the night for the Reds, heading home Stanley's winner with just over 15 minutes remaining.

It was goalless at half-time, after Danny Thomas had clipped the post for Town, and Stanley's Andy Procter headed against the bar.

But the goals began to flow, beginning on 51 minutes when Dsane nipped in behind Town stopper Tommy Lee to put Stanley ahead.

Mullin doubled the home side's advantage two minutes later, tucking away from two yards from Dsane's square pass.

But Town stormed their way back into the game with two goals in the space of a few minutes.

They halved the deficit on 70 minutes from the penalty spot.

Francis Green was bundled over in the box and Kevin McIntyre blasted home the penalty.

The visitors levelled soon after, Gareth Evans thumping a header into the top corner.

But Dsane had the final say for the Reds with a cheeky winner.

Straight from the kick-off, the former AFC Wimbledon man latched onto a ball down the middle, and rounded goalkeeper Lee before going down on his hands and knees to head the ball low over the goal-line.
