Bardsley is ready to work hard to end run

Bardsley and the members of Sean Dyche's squad who weren't on international duty were at the end of last week to re-charge their batteries.

With just seven games to go it's back to the hard work and focusing on delivering the points needed to pull clear of the bottom three.

"It's nice to get a couple of days away and refresh the mind and the body and get ready for the big run-in," said Bardsley.

"I don't think the performances have been too far away from getting too many results.

"But it's a results' business and when you've not won in four, people start to look at you and doubt you.

"It's up to us now to put that right. We felt we should have won the game against Leicester, but we didn't, and the talking is probably over now.

"We need to start putting the performances and results into one and climb up that table."

The international break has given Dyche's side the chance to re-group following their last-gasp loss to 10-man Leicester last time out.

Dyche's men now face vital home games against Wolves and Cardiff City at Turf Moor – either side of a trip to Bournemouth at the start of April.

The full-back is looking to capitalise on the run of home games by regaining the momentum the Clarets built up at the turn of the year when they went a record eight games unbeaten.

"To concede late on against 10 men was a tough one to take. But things like that happen and it's up to us now to go into the Wolves game and really put the game to them," he added.

"Going eight games unbeaten in the Premier League was a remarkable achievement and it's up to us now to get back to that and try and get the results we need. The next three are vital.

"We're not a group of lads that will throw the towel in at any time. We will keep fighting to the end.

"We're still two points out the relegation zone so as long as we look after ourselves, keep putting points on the board, starting on Saturday, then there's no reason why we can't climb up that table."
