BURNLEY have extended Jeff Hendrick’s stay at Turf Moor after taking up the option on the midfielder’s contract.
The Republic of Ireland international’s deal was due to expire in the summer but the 26-year-old will now be remain at the club until 2020.
And Dyche was pleased to tie Hendrick down to new terms.
“He has done well for us,” said the Clarets chief. “We have asked a lot of him. We have used him in a number of different positions that are not sometimes natural to us and over time he has delivered good performances for us.”
Hendrick has made 91 appearances for the Clarets since signing from Derby at the end of the 2016 summer transfer window.
He started 29 Premier League games last season to help Sean Dyche’s side finish seventh in the to qualify for Europe.
