IT was another disappointing day for us on Sunday as we lost 9-3 to Solway Sharks.

We were in the game in the first period and led 2-1 but conceded right at the end and that stopped our momentum.

After that we struggled to get going and we are conceding too many sloppy goals.

I don’t think Solway had to work too hard for their goals and that is disappointing.

There were a few individual errors and we must start to improve our concentration levels because they are proving costly at the moment.

We need to remember it is not just a 20 minute game, it is a 60 minute one.

Ross Kennedy, Kieran Brown and Bobby Streetly scored for us but Solway put us out of the game in the second period which they won 4-0.

We had a meeting before the game to address a few things and I think that helped because we started really well and flew out of the blocks.

But we couldn’t sustain it and in the end lost quite heavily. We conceded a few goals late on that we probably wouldn’t have if we were more in the game.

It is really frustrating at the moment because we are just not playing to our potential.

But we have another two games coming up this weekend when hopefully we can put it right.

We have a tough game at Telford Tigers on Saturday and that is a game we are not expected to win. In some ways that might help us because we can play without pressure and if we can keep it fairly close then that can give us some confidence for Sunday.

We are at home to Nottingham on that day and that is a game we really should be winning.

They haven’t won a league game this season and I will be really disappointed if we don’t pick up two points from that one.

It is a big game for us because we are not having a great run of results and we need to try and put that right if we are to finish in the top four or five which was our target this season.
