LANCASHIRE Lightning will begin their T20 Blast campaign away at Leicestershire Foxes next season.

The Red Rose, beaten semi-finalists in 2018, travel to Grace Road on July 19 before welcoming Durham Jets to Old Trafford two days later.

The first Roses clash against Yorkshire Vikings takes place at Headingley on Thursday, July 25, with the return on Friday, August 9.

Lancashire's County Championship campaign starts away at Middlesex on Thursday, April 11.

Glen Chapple's side were relegated to Division Two last season and will bid to bounce back at the first time of asking.

The Red Rose's opening home game will be against Northants from May 14-17 while the clash with Leicestershire in June takes place at Liverpool.

In the Royal London One-Day Cup Lancashire will open up against Worcestershire Rapids on Wednesday, April 17 while the first Roses fixture of the summer takes place at Headingley on Sunday, April 21.

Lancashire captain Dane Vilas said: “The announcement of the 2019 fixtures brings the season a step closer and we’re all determined to perform consistently next year and win back our position in Division One. That is where this club should be.

“We’ve got a young, hungry group of players in that changing room, and we all want to put last year behind us and concentrate on improving both collectively and individually in all formats of the game in 2019.”

Meanwhile, Lancashire Thunder’s Kia Super League fixtures have also been announced and they will be looking to build on a 2018 season where they won five of 10 group stage matches and just missed out on Finals Day.

Old Trafford will host a standalone Super League fixture for the first time on Tuesday, August 20, when Loughborough Lightning visit while Liverpool will host two matches.
