Rovers' injury list has eased over the international break, with Tony Mowbray reporting all but three players have trained in the lead up to Saturday's trip to Preston.

Their two internationals Corry Evans and Darragh Lenihan returned earlier this week to join the group who have been buoyed by the returns of Charlie Mulgrew and Derrick Williams.

The pair missed the 1-1 draw with Rotherham on November 10, but like midfielder Harrison Reed, who came off injured against the Millers, have trained ahead of the Deepdale visit.

And Mowbray admits he has some decisions to make in all areas of the pitch, particularly at right back with Ryan Nyambe having overcome his hamstring problem.

The boss said: “Nyambe’s re-emergence on the scene, we have a decision to make at right back, and if we do put Nyambe back in then what do we do with Bennett?

“We have decisions to make. But they are good decisions for me.

“We will make them and be mindful we have three games this week and try and be as strong as we can.”

Dominic Samuel, Ben Gladwin (both knee) and Jacob Davenport (thigh) are the three players who didn’t train with the squad.

But Mowbray added: “We had a good turnout in training today.

“There have been two or three that didn’t train in the early part of the week but have trained at the end of the week.

“They have been working really hard, looked really sharp, there was some rest but we have built up the intensity this week and we’re looking forward to the weekend.”
