CHORLEY boss Jamie Vermiglio declared that Tuesday night's FA Cup first-round replay at Doncaster holds no fears for his sixth-tier side.

Herbie Kane's late equaliser rescued Sky Bet League One side Doncaster in a 2-2 draw at Victory Park, where Chorley played the last 30 minutes with 10 men after defender Matt Challoner's red card.

"We've shown already we can more than match Doncaster," Vermiglio told the National League North club's official website.

"It'll be a different proposition at their place, but we'll be going into the game with a lot of confidence - being open-minded and optimistic."

A second-round home tie against either Charlton or Mansfield, who replay at The Valley on Tuesday, is up for grabs.

"We'll have over 500 travelling to Doncaster and it's a massive game for everyone at the club," Vermiglio added.

"They’ve been tremendous, and you always get your die-hard supporters. When your backs are against the wall, they support us and there’s not been many criticisms from the terraces so far.

"These are the kind of occasions which are amazing for supporters and it brings everyone together.

"I really hope they back us from the first minute until the last because we really need to hear them throughout the game. That’ll give everyone a lift, especially those on the pitch."
