Tony Mowbray says a number of players are ‘touch and go’ ahead of the visit of Rotherham United.

Decisions will be taken after training today on whether goalkeeper David Raya and captain Charlie Mulgrew will be able to feature.

Raya is currently sidelined by a facial injury picked up in the West Brom draw while defender Mulgrew sustained a rib injury in the same game.

Mowbray didn’t disclose the identities of the other players struggling but he will be forced into at least one change, with midfielder Corry Evans suspended for the final game before the two-week international break.

On the rest of his squad the Rovers boss added: “We’re keeping our fingers crossed on a few.

“There are a few touch and go for the weekend and if the team looks a little bit different then it will be because a few players are injured.

“The team might be near to what it was last week though if a few come through training on Friday and they feel they can give it a go.

“If we can get through Saturday then it will be good to give them a few days break to take the weight off their feet.

“I’m looking at my board and there could be four of five changes at the weekend but I’m hoping there won’t be as many as that.

“If the lads on the bench are required then we will hope they can help us keep our good form and see if we can get another positive result.

“We have two or three who are touch and go and I think the international break has come at the right time for us.”
