CLARETS reporter Tyrone Marshall hands out the ratings for Burnley's 4-2 defeat at West Ham.

Joe Hart 7

One fine first half save from Arnautovic and was solid with the long range effort he kept out

Matt Lowton 5

Given a torrid time by Felipe Anderson, who was West Ham’s best player and enjoyed running at the unfortunate Lowton

James Tarkowski 4

Perhaps struggling with this ongoing groin problem, but well below par throughout, particularly with mistake for first goal

Ben Mee 7 (Man of the Match)

Unusual to give a central defender man of the match when you concede four, but the captain was solid throughout. Unlucky with deflection off him for third goal and his goalline clearance in the first half was a breathtaking piece of defending.

Charlie Taylor 6

One fine covering tackle on Hernandez in the second half. Run to set up Wood’s late chance showed his attacking potential

Aaron Lennon 5

Must be under pressure from the returning Brady. Offered little in attack in his time on the pitch

Ashley Westwood 6

Fine assist for Gudmundsson’s goal but uncharacteristically sloppy in possession, especially first half

Steven Defour 6

Tried to drive forward and get the Clarets playing, but it was his loose pass to Westwood that led to West Ham’s second goal

Johann Berg Gudmundsson 7

Took his goal really well and kept going all afternoon, tried to drift infield and get involved in the game

Matej Vydra 5

Given another start and a chance to impress but he didn’t take it. One good turn first half but rarely involved in the game

Sam Vokes 6

Given little in the way of service to go on and was quiet throughout
