BEN Gibson is to have a second operation on his troublesome hernia while James Tarkowski will also see a specialist as he continues to battle a groin problem.

Summer signing Gibson went under the knife in September, but he's still being troubled by the issue and will have keyhole surgery to try and fix it.

The £15million addition is yet to feature in the Premier League for the Clarets.

Tarkowski had an operation on his groin in the summer but is also struggling, although he did play 90 minutes in the 4-2 defeat at West Ham United.

“Gibbo’s not been quite right, so if you’re not right, you’ve got to get it done," said Dyche.

“It will only be keyhole, so it shouldn’t be a long one, but the same sort of thing.

“Tarky will see someone this week for a similar sort of thing.

“So there’s a few challenges, so that’s the way it is."
