CLARETS reporter Tyrone Marshall hands out the ratings from Burnley's Premier League defeat to Chelsea.

Joe Hart 7 (Man of the Match)

Twice beaten from distance but not much he could do with either. Twice made smart saves to deny Morata in the first half, one a reactionary stop, and then tipped Giroud’s header onto the bar in stoppage time

Matt Lowton 5

Given a tough afternoon against Willian, who drifted in and out and was given plenty of space to play in.

James Tarkowski 5

Booked for a needless reaction to his own good tackle on Morata in the first half. Could have advance to close on Barkley for second goal.

Ben Mee 5

Distribution disappointing on a few occasions. Turned by Morata for first half chance and struggled with his movement.

Charlie Taylor 6

Probably relieved to see Pedro go off and Ruben Loftus-Cheek came on. Few nervy moments but mostly solid defensively.

Johann Berg Gudmundsson 6

Let Willian ghost past him far too easily for the third goal. Summed up Burnley, began well but drifted out of the game

Jack Cork 5

Battled away in midfield, to his detriment when injured, but struggled against Kante and Barkley

Steven Defour 5

Dropped deep to get on the ball early on and looked bright then, but was a passenger when Chelsea took control

Robbie Brady 6

Burnley’s brightest outfield performer on his return to the side, but still couldn’t really influence proceedings creatively

Jeff Hendrick 4

Lost possession near halfway for the first goal and was never in the game after that point. A surprise he lasted as long as he did.

Sam Vokes 5

Was feeding on scraps in the box, with crosses rarely finding their target, even during Burnley’s bright beginning
