ROBBIE Brady and Steven Defour both played 90 minutes as Burnley beat AFC Fylde 6-3 in a behind-closed-doors fixture at the Barnfield Training Centre.
Brady was on the scoresheet for the Clarets after shaking off a hamstring strain to continue his return to full fitness, having not played competitively since suffering a serious knee injury early in December last year.
Tom Heaton, Phil Bardsley, Dwight McNeil, Chris Wood and Ashley Barnes were also involved in the game against the National League side.
Brady, who has suffered a few setbacks on his road back to fitness, scored with his first touch, curling home on his favoured left-foot from Defour's lay-off.
Fylde levelled through Tom Brewitt but McNeil put the Clarets back in front, teenage midfielder Mace Goodridge made it three and Barnes was on the scoresheet before the break, firing into the bottom corner.
After half-time Fylde got one back again through Gime Toure, but Barnes added his second after good work from Defour and Wood.
Ash Hemmings scored a free-kick to get AFC Fylde's third goal before Wood got his goal after Barnes and Defour had combined in the build-up.
Burnley: Heaton, Bardsley, Younger, Glennon, Koiki, McNeil, Defour, Goodridge (Benson 68), Brady, Wood, Barnes
