SAM Vokes has been included in the Wales squad for their October internationals and he could face Turf Moor teammates Kevin Long and Jeff Hendrick.

Wales and the Republic of Ireland have become familiar foes in recent months and they meet again on October 16 in Dublin in the Nations League.

Long and Hendrick have both been included in Martin O'Neill's Ireland squad, but Jonathan Walters and Stephen Ward miss out with knee injuries, while Robbie Brady is still working his way back to full fitness at Burnley.

Wales warm-up for the clash in Ireland, the return of last month's fixture in Cardiff which Ryan Giggs' side won 4-1, with a friendly against Spain at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff on October 11.

Republic of Ireland have a double header of Nations League matches, facing Denmark at the Aviva Stadium on October 13.

Meanwhile Matej Vydra has been handed his first Czech Republic call-up in two years.

After scoring twice for Burnley since his £11million move from Derby County the 26-year-old has been included in the squad for Nations League fixtures in Slovakia on October 13 and Poland on October 16.
