Lancashire warmed up for their make-or-break LV County Championship title deciding week against Surrey at The Oval with a fine Pro40 League Duckworth-Lewis win by 32 runs over Hampshire at Old Trafford.
The Red Rose side hoisted themselves up to third place in the Division One table with their third win from eight games.
Lancashire posted a testing 199-4 as captain Mark Chilton impressed with the bat in the middle order to finish the innings off with an unbeaten 83-ball 77.
He was also helped along at the end by 22-year-old all-rounder Steven Croft's 57-ball 46 not out.
Lancashire seamer Sajid Mahmood then took an impressive 3-33, as Hampshire reached 122-7 before the rain curtailed play early.
