THIS Lancashire derby ended all-square, but both sides will have different opinions of the point they shared.

Burnley will feel it was two points dropped, after twice going in front, while for Blackpool it will be a sense of relief after being gifted a late equaliser.

It wasn't until five minutes before the end of a drab first half that the game really sparked into life, instigated by Chris McCann rattling the underside of the crossbar only to see the ball bounce out.

Clarke Carlisle and Brian Jensen had to be at their best to deny Keigan Parker on the stroke of half-time.

Substitute Steve Jones put Burnley in front seven minutes after his introduction at the start of the season period, but Wes Hoolahan equalised from the spot following Carlisle's trip on Andy Morrell.

Burnley's second substitute, Ade Akinbiyi, restored the Clarets' lead five minutes from time with a shot on the turn 10 yards out.

But Jensen left the net exposed after failing to keep hold of Stephen Crainey's ball into the box, Ian Evatt missed an open goal but the ball ran free for Morrell to fire in an injury-time equaliser.
