Josh King scored a hat-trick as Rovers dumped Premier League Stoke City out of the FA Cup when the teams last met in February 2015.

They would prove to be the last goals the Norwegian would score in a Rovers shirt as he secured a summer move to Bournemouth.

But he was at the top of his game as he scored three time to book Rovers a spot in the last 16 where they would be handed a home tie with Liverpool.

Rovers actually trailed to the Potters as Peter Crouch put his side ahead.

But the home side scored four times in 19 minutes either side of half-time to put the tie beyond the Premier League side.

King levelled on 36 minutes before Geoff Cameron was sent off for denying a goalscoring opportunity, as Rudy Gestede sent Jack Butland the wrong way from the spot as Rovers led at the break.

And within 10 minutes of the re-start the game was put to bed, as King twice raced through to score and put Rovers in to round six.
