CLARETS reporter Tyrone Marshall hands out the ratings following Burnley's defeat to Wolves.

Joe Hart 8 (Man of the Match)

One of the few to emerge with credit from Molineux. Some fine first half saves kept Burnley in the game, notably from Jimenez and Costa’s cross. Powerless to stop the goal and looks to be rediscovering some of his best form

Phil Bardsley 5

Struggled with Jota all afternoon and almost presented Wolves with an opener, under hitting a back pass to Hart

James Tarkowski 7

Cleared three efforts off the line to keep the score down, but fighting a rearguard effort all afternoon

Ben Mee 6

Moment of Jimenez posed problems to both central defenders. Chances again too easy to come by for the opposition

Charlie Taylor 5

Wing-back Doherty had no end of joy down the Wolves right, with Taylor exposed against him

Johann Berg Gudmundsson 5

Struggled to impact the game in the final third and constantly watched Doherty run beyond him, including for the goal

Jack Cork 5

Midfield saw little of the ball to get Burnley on the front foot and Cork was below his usual standards

Jeff Hendrick 5

Back in his favoured central position but had little impact before being withdrawn. Dominated by Neves and Moutinho

Aaron Lennon 5

Smart feet to get to the byline and tease a dangerous ball in first half, but saw very little of the ball in dangerous areas

Ashley Barnes 5

Given nothing to work on with a distinct lack of service. One half-volley wide in the first half, but little else

Sam Vokes 5

Won his headers in the final third but rarely found another Burnley shirt. Better contribution in his own box
