JOHN Coleman believes his side’s luck will turn after the Reds came from behind at Fleetwood to earn a fourth successive League One 1-1 draw.

Sean McConville’s second half strike secured a share of the spoils after Cian Bolger had put the home side in front against the run of play eight minutes before the break.

The result means Stanley remain unbeaten since the opening day of the season but they have now fallen behind in seven of their right league games, albeit losing just one.

But Coleman, who felt the Highbury display was his side’s beat of the campaign so far, is confident the draws will soon start to turn to wins.

He said: “Eventually our luck will change, you can be blessed with skill, work ethic, character but you can’t be blessed with luck and we are not having much at the moment.

“If we keep playing like that then we will win games. We have come off and it has felt like a defeat given the domination we had and the chances we made we are disappointed.

“Fleetwood have come into this game in a rich vein of form and but for two five minute spells in each half we have pretty much controlled the game.”

The Reds are still waiting for a first clean sheet of the season and Coleman knows there is work to do to bring about a shutout but is confident Stanley are moving forward.

He added: “I know their keeper (Alex Cairns) has won man of the match but our keeper (Connor Ripley) has made two great saves as well, we still have to tighten up again that way and we are disappointed to concede from a set play again.

“But we are definitely going in the right direction. Some of the football we played today was breath-taking and if we keep playing well then we will start winning and then we climb the table.”
