JOE Hart is convinced there is more to come from Burnley after the international break - but admits actions will speak louder than words.

The Clarets have endured a difficult start to the season and sit 19th in the table during the break, with just one point from their opening four games.

That came on the opening weekend at Southampton in what looked a promising display in a goalless draw at St Mary's.

But since then Burnley have found it tough and they have suffered successive defeats to Watford, Fulham and Manchester United, shipping nine goals in the process.

Hart is sure that the two-week break will do the squad some good though and their first chance to right the ship comes this weekend, with a trip to big-spending Wolverhampton Wanderers.

With Europe no longer a distraction Hart believes Burnley can get back to proving that they are more than capable of handling life in the Premier League.

"This team is my team and I believe in them," the 75-cap England goalkeeper said.

"They’ve proved before me that they can more than handle the Premier League and that’s all we’re involved in now, so it’s time to do it again."

Asked if there was more to come from the Clarets after the break, with games against Bournemouth, Cardiff and Huddersfield to come as well, Hart said: "I do, loads more energy and quality, but talk is cheap."

It's been a busy start to the campaign for Burnley, who have already played 10 competitive fixtures this term, while the rest of the Premier League have played just four.

Sean Dyche's side played three rounds of Europa League qualifiers, with games taking place on six successive Thursday nights.

After kicking off proceedings at Pittodrie the Clarets needed extra-time to see off Aberdeen, before a trip to Istanbul and then more extra-time to see of Basaksehir, and the journey ended with defeat to Greek giants Olympiakos.

It's been a busy workload for the injury hit squad and Hart believes some of the squad will need a rest during the break.

He added: "We need to get the boys who are tired, you Ashley Westwood’s, unfortunately Jeff Hendrick has to go away (with Ireland), they’ve worked tirelessly for a long time without reward.

"When you work hard and you win you don’t feel it, when you lose you do, a few guys will need a rest and the likes of myself I just want to work hard and be ready."
