David Bentley made his England debut in the 3-0 win over Israel ... but it was marred by a section of fans at Wembley.
The Blackburn midfielder was booed after coming on as a late substitute for goalscorer Shaun Wright-Phillips.
He was also jeered every time he touched the ball.
Bentley had opted not to play in the European U21 Championships in the summer, a fact some fans obviously refused to forgive him for.
Michael Owen and Micah Richards were also on target for England, who now play Russia at Wembley on Wednesday.
