"It's a decent start. We could have won today but we could have lost at Blackpool so it's swings and roundabouts.

"We haven't been overawed by any team we've played so far. Gillingham were good on the first day and we weren't at our best but since then I think we've competed very well in every game.

(squad - depth and numbers - competing without key players)

"The two lads who have gone to Ipswich were very important to us last year, very important to our style of play, and I know the gaffer's found it difficult to get players in, he's found it a very difficult transfer market.

"But we got a few lads in yesterday, unfortunately a couple weren't in time to be in the squad on Saturday but we'll have a look at them in training this week and hopefully they'll bring something to our squad and give the gaffer more options moving forward."

(have a better idea of division)

"I think so. We've taken encouragement from the games and now that the transfer window has closed and everyone has their squads you're really able to measure yourself against the other teams.

"I don't think we've been overawed by any opposition this season. We're sitting eighth in the table.

"We had a meeting the first day we came back for pre-season and the gaffer said we're good enough to make the play-offs here and at the moment that's not an unrealistic goal.

"Obviously a lot of the big teams are still to come here and we have to go to a lot more difficult places and we'll see how it goes but at the moment we're quietly content with where we are in the league.
