A date has been set for Rovers’ Carabao Cup tie at AFC Bournemouth.
Rovers will travel to the Vitality Stadium on Tuesday, September 25 (7.45pm).
Tony Mowbray’s side have been among the goals in the opening two rounds of the competition, winning 5-1 at Carlisle United before a 4-1 success over Lincoln City at Ewood Park.
Eddie Howe’s side are currently sixth in the Premier League with two wins a draw prior to Saturday’s defeat at Chelsea.
They made it in to round three after a 3-0 home win over League Two side MK Dons.
The game could see Rovers come up against Josh King who joined the Cherries from Rovers in May 2015 after 74 games and eight goals.
But Connor Mahoney won’t be available for the Rovers visit having been loaned out to Championship side Birmingham City.
