ACCRINGTON Stanley had to come back from behind to rescue a point against Scunthorpe United.

The Reds are still looking for their first home win in League One, and should have been well on their way to it at half-time such was their first half dominance.

Offrande Zanzala, in for the injured Billy Kee, had a number of good chances but lacked the killer touch.

Sam Finley was unlucky not to break his league duck with a superb dipping effort from distance that dropped just over the bar.

Stanley began brightly in the second half too and Jordan Clark was denied by a good save from Rangers loanee Jak Alnwick after skipping a couple of challenges.

But after Mark Hughes was required to make a goalline clearance, Scunthorpe scored from the resultant corner, with Matthew Lund converting for his first for the Iron in the 80th minute.

It came completely against the run of play. But Stanley responded well with Seamus Conneely driving home a Sean McConville corner to equalise a minute later.
