BURNLEY have had a bid accepted by Swansea for winger Sam Clucas.

But it is understood personal terms with the 27-year-old are yet to be agreed and could prove to be a stumbling block.

The club have held an interest in Clucas for most of the summer and after discussions with the Swans an £8million fee has been agreed.

Clucas is a player Burnley were interested in 12 months ago. Then the Clarets had two bids for the 27-year-old rejected by Hull City and he made the move to the Liberty Stadium instead.

Clucas made just 23 Premier League starts for Swansea though as the club were relegated to the Championship.

The Clarets had held talks with the Swans over Clucas and defender Alfie Mawson and a week ago they were confident of landing the latter.

Late interest from Fulham looks to have scuppered that deal, with the 24-year-old preferring a return to London, but that deal is still yet to be confirmed.
